Here are some tips:

- Dust frequently.

These vacuums are equipped with high-spec pre-filter and filter systems; they are sealed, allergen-free and designed to remove and trap allergens such as bacteria and mold-filled dust that normal vacuums can’t.

- Clean carpeting and drapes regularly. Carpet is a huge hideout for asthma allergens, harboring dust mites and pet dander–the two most common triggers of childhood asthma.

- Replace carpeting with non-fibrous flooring, such as tile or hardwood, particularly in the bedroom.

- Replace feather pillows and down comforters with those containing synthetic fibers; use a plastic mattress cover.

- Wash bedding in hot water (130 degrees Fahrenheit) to kill dust mites and remove allergens. Alternately, you can place bedding in an airtight container for 48 hours.

- Place stuffed toys in the freezer for 24 hours or in an airtight container for 48 hours to kill dust mites.

- Wear a scarf over your nose and mouth in cold weather.

- Monitor the pollen count in spring, summer and fall; avoid open fields when pollen counts are high.

- Always keep your medication with you in case of an attack.

Using an air filter can also help prevent asthma attacks.

Following are some different options:

- Use an HEPA air filter. They feature a minimum particle removal efficiency of 99.97% for all particles 0.3 microns in diameter and larger. This size covers most pollen, mold spores, animal hair and dander, dust mites, bacteria, smoke particles and dust.

- Use an air purifier. They are classified according to the technology they utilize to remove different-sized particles from the air. Certain models use a chemical process, such as ozonization, to purify the air.

- Install a large room unit air purifier. These air purifiers utilize strong filters or collecting plates; some large units use electrostatic precipitation. These purifiers are highly effective at removing pollutants, particularly smoke and dirt, from large areas. They are more effective as single room units than as fixed central air filters.

- Install air filters. The efficiency of different models is
measured by the size of particles they can remove from the air. They are classified in two categories: central filtration, or induct, systems and portable units with fan attachments. Central filtration systems are installed in heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems. Asthmatics should choose a HEPA filter that can trap very small and very large particles.

- Use a tabletop air purifier. These models are equipped with small panels of dry, loosely packed, low-density fiber filters and a high-velocity fan. Although these models are fairly inexpensive, be sure that the specifications match your requirements to remove very small particles from the air that can trigger asthma attacks.

I’m going to tell you exactly how you can get customers now, and build your brand in the minds of your target market. This isn’t a time consuming process, it’s something you can do today. It doesn’t take a lot of time or a great deal of cash. You can start establishing your brand within the next hour. Yes. One hour from right now.

Your target market wants to solve a problem. You have a solution. If they knew about your wonderful widgets or your extraordinary ebook, they would recognize the value and buy from you. But how do you create your brand, especially as a home based business?

What can you do right now to introduce yourself to your target market? How can you let your target market know that you’re an expert? Can you do it while keeping your costs at a bare minimum?

I tell my customers that to build a brand, they should think of a topic they know well and that they frequently explain to their prospects. I get them to remember the standard spiel they use to explain that topic.

Step Two: Write It Down.

That’s all there is to it. Write down what you typically explain to your prospects. Write the article in a friendly, first person voice, much like I’m doing here. What’s that? You don’t know how to write an article? Sure you do. You just explain a topic so that a reader can understand it. That’s an article. There’s nothing mystical about it.

If the topic is really involved or complex, break it into sub-topics and write an article on each sub-topic. Keep each article to somewhere between 400 and 1200 words. This won’t take a lot of time, because you already know this stuff. These are not topics you have to go figure out, research or look up. Just write down your standard answers.

When you’re done, you’ll have an interesting, content-laden, helpful article. It will be something that your target market is interested in, and something that you’ve learned through experience that they need to know. It’s a topic you teach them during your sales process anyway, so it’s not like you’re giving away the store when you teach them.

Step Three: Get Published.

There are a number of things you can do to get your article published. Post it on forums.

If you watch closely, you will eventually notice that people who manage the work of others tend to fit into one of two categories: authoritarians or democrats.

The authoritarians, as you would expect, manage by telling others what to do. They are not big on eliciting opinions of their subordinates, and not coincidently, their superiors usually treat them in much the same way.

They get whipped like dogs, then they turn around and whip their charges like smaller dogs. Information and direction flow downhill only. Things get done, but quality of work output and quality of employee life suffers.

The democratic manager is quite opposite. He will seek consensus and try to make sure everyone on the team is happy. Things get done eventually and the love-in can be quite heartwarming. Employee satisfaction is high, but efficiency can lag.

I paint these opposing management styles in purposefully stark contrast. In the real world of course, managers fall on a continuum with these extremes as endpoints. What places them at their unique position on the numberline?

Corporate personality - the kind that flows downhill in an organization, and the manager’s inherent personality combine (harmoniously or otherwise) placing the manager somewhere on the scale of the authority-democracy meter.

The art of managing becomes the blending of the best of both worlds for the betterment of the organization. Then, it usually follows that as the organization succeeds, so does the individual.

As managers strive to balance authority and democracy in their management styles, they would do well to add two more factors to the mix: reality and results.

After all, it may seem that the source of authority is the boss from above, the guy who feeds workers with a paycheck.

But the higher authority is the marketplace. If your company, with its unique mix of people, products and philosophies performs well in the marketplace, it will grow and bring rewards to the individual.

Thus, the reality of the marketplace, as well as the results your organization is able to deliver will be a key determinant of the rewards your company will be able to distribute to its people.

Reality and results are the real bosses in business and an enlightened management style should reflect this realization. How to we blend authority, democracy, reality and results?

Authority: “Do it because I said so.”
Democracy: “Will you do it? Do you think it is the right thing to do?”
Reality: “Our competition is doing it. We need to do it to compete.”
Results: “We did well last quarter doing it. Let’s do it more.”
