Service Program from GM

The GM Automotive Service Educational Program (ASEP) is a technical program that offers advantages that aides dealers in the development of their technicians for future generations. The three-stage approach of the GM Technician Training Strategy gives dealers the opportunity to train technicians at any skill level, from high school to post-college.

For example, if you are pursuing a career in servicing and maintaining GM vehicles, GM ASEP will provide the training you will need in this field. GM, GM dealers and selected colleges across the United States and Canada make this program a joint effort. GM ASEP instructs its students only on up to date GM products. Students who want to attend college while working at a GM dealership for two years can take part in the GM ASEP program. An Associate’s Degree in Automotive Technology (or comparable) will be earned by students when they graduate.

The GM ASEP program combines advanced automotive technical training. With it is a firm education in reading, math and electronics, as well as a solid grounding in technical and analytical skills. One can acquire an Associate’s Degree, which is an apprentice-like program, through on-the-job experience and hands-on learning.
